Our digital camera went ka-put over Christmas, hence fewer pics on the blog. The borrowed one from Jeremy & Aurelia works great for capturing moments - it just eats batteries and for some reason wouldn't upload to our computer. So it's a drawn-out process to take it to work, use the photo reader here, burn to CD, etc., etc. Trying to keep personal stuff of work computers is hard!
So yesterday, our computer officially died (we think). Jeff's been lobbying for a new one anyway. I think his bad karma toward it finally worked! It won't turn on at all. Power is OK (speakers hooked up to the same surge strip are on and OK). But the tower seems to be dead.
I'm not happy about spending 1) money on a new PC or camera (although a faster PC that is portable would be nice!) or 2) time researching the best deal on a new PC or camera. We'll just have to get friendly with Consumer Reports and search for prices online - oh, wait, need a PC for that! Hopefully I can 'borrow' a laptop from work for a while.
Until then - pic-sharing will have to wait.
