A new dessert, product reviews and the super-schmear. Fun for a Wednesday afternoon!
Cheap, clever dessert
How cute is this? And – no eating utensils required.

Makes me motivated to do laundry:
Tried the new Bounce original scent renewing dryer sheets. These pass the Lovey test, which still smells fresh days after washing, despite being up Carson’s nose and who-knows-where else.
Winter skin super-schmear
We’re going on 2 weeks of conquering Carson’s excema-prone skin. We haven’t had to use the prescription cream lately thanks to our pediatrician’s home-remedy schmear: Take one wet baby (ok – toddler) out of the bathtub, pat off the drips. Combine one dallop Vaseline and a healthy squirt of Cetaphil lotion in your hands and schmear all over damp skin. It’s a Crisco-like consistency, but it works! Bonus- my hands are feeling nice too.
Another generic bites the dust
I’m all about less expensive, generic/ store brand products BUT there are a few that just don’t stack up to the name-brands: Jif peanut butter, Kraft American cheese slices. Add another to the list: store brand smoked sausage. Both the Kroger and Meijer brands I’ve tried have a weird texture. Even if they’re buy one, get one free, resist – quality wins over quantity on this one!
